Popular TV show Anupamaa has been in the news for all the wrong reasons lately. While some actors have willingly left the show, some were replaced overnight. Recently, Alisha Parveen, who essayed the role of Raahi was ousted from the show. In an interview, she hinted at Rupali Ganguly being responsible for her departure from the show. However, Rupali has rubbished all the claims and spilled beans on Alisha Parveen’s exit from Anupamaa.

In a recent byte with ABP, Rupali claims, “I have no authority over casting decisions or other major show developments. Such matters are entirely handled by Rajan Shahi and the channel. I’ve always prioritised professionalism and dedicated myself to this show for the last five years.”

In a recent interview with India Forums, Alisha Parveen directly addressed the rumors that Rupali was responsible for her sudden exit from the show. She said, “I too have heard of these rumours and know that these things have been linked up with her. I have read about this in the fan messages too. People said ke unhone hi karwaya hai, it’s dkp behind it, it’s Rupali mam behind it. Exactly kya hai ye main kaise batau ab. Maybe yes, maybe no, I don’t know. Maybe nothing.”

After being dropped from the show, Alisha had penned an emotional note on her Instagram, that read, “Hello, everyone. I did not leave the show Anupamaa, but I am not sure why this happened. Everything was fine, but I don’t know why this happened so abruptly. It was also shocking to me. But thank you so much for liking Raahi. I am so pleased to be a part of this show. I worked so hard for the character, but I have no idea what happened. All I can say is thank you to everyone who supported me! I will miss this show from the depths of my heart.”

Actors who left Anupamaa

Lately, there have been many shocking exits from the show. Actor Sudhanshu Pandey, who essayed the role of Vanraj Shah, shocked everyone when he announced quitting the show. Apart from him, Gaurav Khanna, Nidhi Shah, and Kunwar Amar Singh also quit the show. Now, Alisha Parveen, whose character was introduced in October to play Rahi, is being replaced by actor Adrija Roy.
